Item 8.01 Other Events.

On January 20, 2021, BancPlus Corporation ("the Registrant") issued a press release announcing the Board of Directors of the Registrant declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.38 per share of common stock. The cash dividend will be paid on March 15, 2021 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on February 26, 2021. The press release is attached to this report at Exhibit 99.1, which is incorporated herein by reference.

BancPlus Corporation Announces Quarterly Cash Dividend

RIDGELAND, MISSISSIPPI (January 20, 2021) – BancPlus Corporation, the holding company for BankPlus, today announced that on January 19, 2021, its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.38 per share of its common stock equivalent to an annualized dividend of $1.52 per share. This represents an increase of 3 cents per share or 8.57% from the last quarterly dividend paid on December 15, 2020. The cash dividend will be paid on March 15, 2021, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on February 26, 2021.
