OCTOBER 2007 TRAFFIC

Passenger activity

Decline in traffic limited to 0.7% despite Air France cabin crew strike

Load factor maintained at 80.6%

Further rise in unit revenue excluding currency impact

Cargo

Rise in both traffic (+1.7%) and load factor (+2.3 points)

The strike by cabin crew at Air France between 25th and 29th October 2007 led to the cancellation of some 28% of Air France group flights over the period, including subsidiaries.

Without this strike action, Air France-KLM would have recorded a 4.5% increase in both capacity and traffic for the month of October. The figures shown below include the impact of the strike action, and are not therefore wholly representative of current activity trends.

Passenger activity

Strong levels of activity in the first few weeks of October at both Air France and KLM, enabled the group to limit to 0.7% the decline in traffic for the Air France-KLM group for the month as a whole. Capacity remained stable (+0.3%) and the load factor stood at 80.6% (-0.8 points). Unit revenue excluding currency impact continued to progress. The Group carried some 6.3 million passengers (+2.2%).

On the Americas network traffic was almost stable (+0.3%) with capacity up by 2.6% leading to a load factor of 84.7% (-1.9 points).

The Asia network recorded a 3.4% rise in both traffic and capacity. The load factor was therefore stable at the high level of 88.4%.

On the Africa & Middle-East network traffic was down by 0.5% while capacity was down 1.8%. The load factor gained 1 point to 77.2%.

The Caribbean & Indian Ocean network saw a 10.1% fall in traffic while capacity was down 6.1%. The load factor declined by 3.4 points to 76.1%.

The European network saw traffic down by 2.4% and capacity by 1.6%. The load factor stood at 71.3% (-0.6 points).

Cargo activity

Traffic progressed by 1.7% driven once more by the Asia and Africa & Middle-East networks. Capacity was down by 1.6%, affected by the reduction in belly capacity linked to the strike. The load factor gained 2.3 points to 70.0%.
