Restructuring Costs

In April 2016, the Company streamlined its organizational structure, resulting in a reduction of approximately 6% of its total workforce. The total costs related to the 2016 restructuring were approximately $1.9 million and were related to one-time termination benefits. During the year endedDecember 31, 2016, restructuring costs of $1.9 million were incurred and paid related to the 2016 restructuring. The Company does not expect to incur additional costs related to the 2016 restructuring.

During 2015, QEP had multiple restructuring events, including the closure of its Tulsa office, which occurred in the third quarter of 2015. The total costs related to the 2015 restructuring events were approximately $8.3 million, of which approximately $5.3 million was related to one-time termination benefits and approximately $3.0 million was related to relocation of certain employees. During the year endedDecember 31, 2016, restructuring costs of $0.6 million were incurred and paid related to the Tulsa office closure, all of which were related to the relocation of certain employees. The Company does not expect to incur additional costs related to the closure of its Tulsa office.

All restructuring costs were recorded within "General and administrative" expense on the Consolidated Statement of Operations.
