Restructuring

The Company’s restructuring costs relate to the wind-down of our legacy platform and severance costs associated with re-prioritizing and reallocating resources to focus on areas showing high growth potential within our Business Segment. The expense associated with this restructuring was approximately $0.7 million during the three months ended September 30, 2018 and approximately $2.8 million and $2.3 million during the nine months ended September 30, 2018 and 2017, respectively. There were no restructuring costs during the three months ended September 30, 2017. The Company expects to incur additional restructuring costs through December 31, 2019. The restructuring liability was approximately $1.2 million as of September 30, 2018 and $2.3 million as of December 31, 2017. It is classified as accrued expenses and other current liabilities on the condensed consolidated balance sheets.
