CHANGE OF COMPANY SECRETARIES OF
STATS CHIPPAC LTD.

Singapore and United States — January 4, 2005 — STATS ChipPAC Ltd. (“STATS ChipPAC” — NNM: STTS and SGX: STATSChP) a leading independent semiconductor test and advanced packaging service provider, today announced the resignation of Chua Su Li and Lam Lee Fong as Company Secretary and Assistant Company Secretary respectively, and the appointment of Linda Nai as Company Secretary of STATS ChipPAC, all with effect from 31 December 2004.
