Other Events
On August 16, 2010, STATS ChipPAC Ltd. issued an announcement on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (“SGX-ST”), announcing that it intended to commence the process to effect a proposed capital reduction exercise and cash distribution of up to US$600 million to shareholders of STATS ChipPAC Ltd. following the completion of the offering of senior notes in a private placement. A copy of the SGX-ST announcement dated August 16, 2010 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
