3. Recent Accounting Pronouncements

In April 2015, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”) issued Accounting Standards Update 2015-03 (“ASU 2015-03”), Interest-Imputation of Interest (Subtopic 835-30) to simplify the presentation of debt issuance costs. ASU 2015-03 requires that debt issuance costs be presented in the balance sheet as a deduction from the carrying amount of the related debt and not as a deferred charge presented in Deferred financing costs and other assets on the Company’s consolidated balance sheets. The recognition and measurement guidance for debt issuance costs are not affected by the new amendment. ASU 2015-03 will be applied on a retrospective basis and to each prior reporting period presented and is effective for interim and annual reporting periods beginning after December 15, 2015. Early adoption is permitted. The Company is currently evaluating the impact of adopting ASU 2015-03 on the Company’s consolidated financial position and results of operations.

In May 2014, the FASB issued ASU 2014-09, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (Topic 606), which provides guidance for revenue recognition. ASU 2014-09 will supersede the revenue recognition requirements in Revenue Recognition (Topic 605), and most industry-specific guidance. In July 2015, the FASB deferred the effective date of the new revenue recognition standard by one year, and it is effective for interim and annual periods beginning after December 15, 2017. Early adoption is permitted, but no earlier than the original effective date of January 1, 2017. The Company is currently evaluating the impact of adopting ASU 2014-09 on the Company’s consolidated financial position and results of operations.

In April 2014, the FASB issued ASU 2014-08, Reporting Discontinued Operations and Disclosures of Disposals of Components of an Entity (“ASU 2014-08”). ASU 2014-08 changes the criteria for reporting a discontinued operation. Under ASU 2014-08, a disposal of a part of an organization that has (or will have) a major effect on its operations and financial results is a discontinued operation. ASU 2014-08 will apply prospectively for all disposals or components of the Company’s business classified as held for sale during fiscal periods beginning after December 15, 2014. The adoption of ASU 2014-08 did not have a material impact on the Company’s consolidated financial position or results of operations, although the impact will depend on the extent of any future discontinued operations.
