Alliance CFO to Present at 16th Annual Wachovia Securities Nantucket Equity Conference

Tulsa, Oklahoma, June 19, 2006 – Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. (NASDAQ: ARLP) and Alliance Holdings GP, L.P. (NASDAQ: AHGP) today announced that Brian L. Cantrell, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will make a presentation at the 16th Annual Wachovia Securities Nantucket Equity Conference in Massachusetts at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, June 22, 2006. In his presentation, Mr. Cantrell intends to discuss the operations, financial performance, growth prospects and business outlook for both Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. and Alliance Holdings GP, L.P.
