Note R – Operating Leases

We lease certain property and equipment from third parties under non-cancelable operating lease agreements. Rent expense under operating leases was $14,683,000, $17,219,000 and $14,677,000 in fiscal 2016, fiscal 2015 and fiscal 2014, respectively. Future minimum lease payments for non-cancelable operating leases having an initial or remaining term in excess of one year at May 31, 2016, were as follows:
