eOn Communications Corporation is unable without unreasonable effort and expense to file its Annual Report on Form 10-KSB for the period ended July 31, 2007 on a timely basis, due to unexpected delays in obtaining necessary information to complete the disclosures set forth in the Form 10-KSB by the filing deadline. eOn is working to file its Annual Report as soon as practicable. eOn expects to be able to file its Annual Report on Form 10-KSB for the period ended July 31, 2007 by October 31, 2007.

The Company expects to report a net loss of $1,330,000 for fiscal year 2007 compared to net income of $1,637,000. The decline in net income reflects lower revenues during the first and second quarters of fiscal year 2007. During fiscal year 2006, net income included income from discontinued operations of $559,000 and an extraordinary gain of $217,000.
