On September 7, 2005, The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. (the "Company") affirmed its third quarter earnings guidance for the quarter ended September 3, 2005 and its full-year 2005 earnings guidance, as described in the press release furnished hereto as Exhibit 99.1, which is incorporated herein by reference. The Company is scheduled to issue its complete third quarter earnings results on September 27, 2005.
