LAKES ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES
ELIMINATION OF SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS POSITION
MINNEAPOLIS – March 10, 2009 – Lakes Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: LACO) today announced that effective March 5, 2009, it has eliminated the position of Senior Vice President of Operations, in an effort to streamline and reduce the Company’s cost structure, thereby terminating the employment of Richard Charles, formerly Senior Vice President of Operations for the Company. Mr. Charles had been employed with the Company since April 1, 2008.
“We continue to evaluate all aspects of our overhead in order to ensure that we operate the Company in an efficient and cost effective manner,” said Tim Cope, President and Chief Financial Officer of Lakes. “Rick was a valued employee and we wish him all the best with his future endeavors.” Mr. Charles’ duties and responsibilities have been assumed by Mr. Cope.
