 On May 15, 2008, the Company issued the press release that is furnished as Exhibit 99.2 to this Current Report on Form 8-K, which by this reference is incorporated herein as if copied verbatim, stating that it would hold a conference call on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 to discuss the fiscal 2008 third quarter earnings and the outlook for fiscal year 2008.

LEBANON, Tenn. – May 13, 2008 -- CBRL Group, Inc. (the “Company”) (Nasdaq: CBRL) will be participating in the Avondale Partners Consumer Conference to be held in New York City at the Millennium Broadway Hotel.  The Company’s presentation will begin at 8:50 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, May 20, 2008.  Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Michael A. Woodhouse will be speaking at the conference.

CONFERENCE CALL ON THE INTERNET

LEBANON, Tenn. – May 15, 2008 -- CBRL Group, Inc. (the “Company”) (Nasdaq: CBRL) will provide an on-line, real-time Webcast and rebroadcast of its third quarter earnings conference call on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
