Regulation FD Disclosure.

On October 23, 2007, Whirlpool Europe s.r.l. signed a non-binding letter of intent with Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., a Turkish appliance manufacturer, to enter into negotiations on the possible establishment of a joint venture in Europe. At this time, there is no change to Whirlpool’s business in Europe, nor is there any assurance that the parties will be able to finalize and agree upon the terms of a definitive agreement.
