Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 18, 2020, Whirlpool Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors has nominated Jennifer A. LaClair as an independent director nominee to stand for election at its 2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
Ms. LaClair is the Chief Financial Officer of Ally Financial (“Ally”) and a member of Ally’s executive council. As CFO, her responsibilities include oversight of Ally’s finance, accounting, capital markets, treasury, investor relations, modeling and analytics and supply chain.
A copy of the press release announcing Ms. LaClair’s nomination is attached and incorporated herein by reference.
