The Board of Directors of Scottish Re Group Limited (the "Company") named Jean-Claude Damerval to the Board of Directors of the Company on November 3, 2004 to serve as a Class III Director. Mr. Damerval will serve on the Audit Committee, the Corporate Governance Committee and the Finance and Investment Committee of the Board of Directors. There are no arrangements pursuant to which Mr. Damerval was nominated or elected as a director, and there are no related party transactions between the Company and Mr. Damerval. Mr. Damerval previously served as CEO of International Operations at AXA, and he has served on the Board of Directors of a number of insurance organizations including National Mutual (Melbourne), INA/ASSITALIA (Rome), AOBA Life (Tokyo), CX Re (London), and Aurora National Life, where he also served as an executive committee member.
