Basis of Accounting [Text Block]	Note 2. Basis of Presentation The unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements of Avalon and related notes included herein have been prepared in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Accordingly, certain information and footnote disclosures normally included in financial statements prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles have been omitted consistent with such rules and regulations. The accompanying unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements and related notes should be read in conjunction with the consolidated financial statements and related notes included in Avalon’s 2023 Annual Report to Shareholders. The unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements include the accounts of Avalon, its wholly owned subsidiaries and those companies in which Avalon has managerial control. All significant intercompany accounts and transactions have been eliminated in consolidation. In the opinion of management, these unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements include all adjustments, consisting of normal recurring adjustments, necessary for a fair presentation of the financial position and results of operations of Avalon for the interim periods presented. The operating results for the interim periods are not necessarily indicative of the results to be expected for the full year. The condensed consolidated financial statements presented herein reflect our current estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities and related disclosures as of the date of the financial statements and reported amounts of revenues and expenses during the reporting periods presented. Approximately $0.2 million of other income on the unaudited condensed consolidated statements of operations for 2023 has been reclassified to conform to the presentation for 2024. Such reclassifications had no effect on changes in operations.
