On October 3, 2005, the Board of Directors of Quicksilver Resources Inc. ("Quicksilver") appointed Philip W. Cook, 43, to the position of Senior Vice President - Chief Financial Officer of Quicksilver effective as of October 24, 2005. Since October 2004, Mr. Cook has served as the President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of EcoProduct Solutions, a Houston-based chemical company. From August 2001 to September 2004, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PPI Technology Services, an oilfield service company. From August 1993 to July 2001, he served in various capacities, including Vice President and Controller, Vice President and Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Audit, of Burlington Resources Inc., an independent oil and gas company engaged in exploration, development, production and marketing.
