McDaniel, Jr. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer New York, April 26, 2005 -- The board of directors of Moody's Corporation (MCO) elected Raymond W. McDaniel, Jr. as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Moody's Corporation at a meeting today. Mr. McDaniel, age 47, succeeds John Rutherfurd, Jr., age 65, who, as planned, retired as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Moody's Corporation following the company's annual shareholders' meeting held earlier today. "Ray McDaniel has a proven record of accomplishment over many years at Moody's," said Henry A. McKinnell, Jr., Ph.D., Chairman, Governance and Compensation Committee of the Moody's Corporation Board of Directors.
