14. Related Parties

Commencing July 9, 2012 through October 2013, the Company’s lease for its Lexington, North Carolina facility was with Scronce Real Estate LLC. Scronce Real Estate, LLC is owned by Tim and Brenda Scronce, the wife of Tim Scronce. Tim and/or Brenda Scronce were the majority owners of the TelWorx entities as defined in Note 11 – Commitments and Contingencies above. The Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary PCTelWorx, Inc. (“PCTelWorx”), purchased certain of the assets of TelWorx in July 2012. Tim Scronce worked for the Company until his resignation in December 2012 and Brenda Scronce never worked for the Company. In May 2013, the Company gave notice of early termination of the lease which became effective October 31, 2013. The Company signed a new lease for an office facility in Lexington effective August 1, 2013. The new lease is not with a related party. Through December 31, 2013, a total of $0.2 million was paid under this new lease.

Through October 2013, the Company’s lease for its Melbourne, Florida office was with 3dB, LLC, a real estate entity co-owned by Robert Joslin, Scott Clay, and Greg Akin. As co-owners of Envision Wireless, Joslin, Clay and Akin sold the assets of Envision Wireless to the Company in October 2011. Joslin, Clay, and Akin continue to work for the Company. This lease expired October 31, 2013. In September 2013, the Company signed a five-year lease for new office space in Melbourne, Florida. The new lease is not with a related party.
