On March 17, 2008, Eugene V. Dupreau informed the Board of Directors of Waste Connections, Inc. that as a result of his intention to retire from employment with the company within the next twelve months, he has decided not to stand for reelection to the Board of Directors at the company’s annual meeting of stockholders to be held on May 15, 2008.  His current term as a Class I director will expire on that date.
