Other Events. On August 27, 2001, Steelcase Inc. announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire PolyVision Corporation for $2.25 in cash per share of common stock. The total purchase price of approximately $176 million includes all of the common and preferred stock of PolyVision and roughly $103 million in PolyVision debt. The proposed transaction is subject to the approval of the shareholders of PolyVision and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2001.
