6. SHARE PURCHASES

        During the three months ended December 31, 2012 and 2011, the Company purchased 78,403 and 167,616 shares of common stock for an aggregate price of $1,243 and $2,174, respectively. All shares of common stock held in treasury were retired prior to December 31 in the respective quarter of purchase except at December 31, 2012 and 2011 the Company held 2,000 and 17,616 shares of common stock in treasury, respectively. As of December 31, 2012, the Company was permitted to purchase up to 1,048,482 additional shares under its approved purchase plan. The Company accounts for treasury shares using the cost method.
