On October 3, 2011, Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its board of directors authorized the Company to acquire up to 2,000,000 shares of its common stock through a share repurchase plan. Anworth Announces Share Repurchase Program

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 3, 2011--Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation (NYSE: ANH) announced today that its board of directors has authorized the Company to acquire up to 2,000,000 shares of its common stock. The shares are expected to be acquired at prevailing prices through open market transactions. The manner, price, number and timing of share repurchases will be subject to market conditions and applicable U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission rules.
