Item 8.01 Other Events.

On Thursday, August 30, 2007 Warwick Valley Telephone Company (the "Company") issued a press release indicating that the Board of Directors had declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share on the Company’s Common Shares and a regular quarterly dividend of $1.25 per share on the outstanding 5,000 shares of the Company’s 5% Preferred Shares. These dividends are payable on September 30, 2007 to shareholders of record on September 20, 2007. The announcement also indicated that the Company’s main website has been updated. The Company’s press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.

WARWICK VALLEY TELEPHONE COMPANY DECLARES
DIVIDEND

(Warwick, NY, August 30, 2007) The Board of Directors of the Warwick Valley Telephone Company (Nasdaq: WWVY) declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share on the Company’s Common Shares. The dividend is payable on September 30, 2007 to shareholders of record as of September 20, 2007.

In addition, the Board of Directors declared the regular quarterly dividend of $1.25 per share on the outstanding 5,000 shares of the Company’s 5% Preferred Shares to be paid on September 30, 2007 to shareholders of record as of September 20, 2007.
