Item 5.03. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On February 21, 2018, Hani El-Naffy announced his intention to retire from the Board of Directors of Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. (the “Company”), effective as of the end of his current term at the Company’s annual meeting of shareholders scheduled to occur on May 2, 2018. Mr. El-Naffy’s decision to retire was not the result of any dispute or disagreement with the Company. On February 23, 2018, the Company issued a press release regarding Mr. El-Naffy’s forthcoming retirement from the Board of Directors of the Company.

A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.

Fresh Del Monte Produce's Board of Directors Announces Director Retirement

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - February 23, 2018 - The board of directors of Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. (NYSE: FDP)announced that Hani El-Naffy has informed them of his intention to retire from the Company's board of directors at the end of his current term as director which expires on May 2, 2018. Mr. El-Naffy assumed his responsibilities on Fresh Del Monte's board in August 1996. Mr. El-Naffy's decision to retire was not the result of any dispute or disagreement with the Company.
