Item 7.01.      Regulation FD Disclosure.

On October 28, 2011, United Rentals, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it will participate in the Goldman Sachs Global Industrials Conference 2011 on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. At the conference, Michael Kneeland, chief executive officer of the Company, and William Plummer, chief financial officer, will present information regarding the Company, which may include a discussion of the Company’s business, financial performance and forward-looking information.
