On October 2, 2015, Louis E. Caldera, a member of the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Career Education Corporation (the “Company”), resigned from the Board effective immediately in order to pursue other interests. Mr. Caldera’s resignation is not due to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
