Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officer

 

On September 8, 2021, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Incorporated (the “Company”) appointed its Chief Operating Officer, James Kessler, to the additional role of President of the Company.

 

Mr. Kessler, 49, has served as the Company’s Chief Operations Officer since May 11, 2020. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Kessler held the position of President of Emerging Business for Caliber Collision since 2019. Prior to Caliber from 2017 to 2019, Mr. Kessler held the role of Chief Operation Officer at Abra Auto Body & Glass LP, a leading national damaged vehicle repair company. Prior to ABRA from 2013 to 2016, Mr. Kessler was the President, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer of vRide, a van pool sharing platform acquired by Enterprise Holdings.
