Subsequent Events	Subsequent Events Fourth Quarter Dividend Declaration On November 1, 2016, the board of directors of Piedmont declared dividends for the fourth quarter 2016 in the amount of $0.21 per common share outstanding to stockholders of record as of the close of business on November 25, 2016. Such dividends are to be paid on January 3, 2017. Acquisitions On October 7, 2016, Piedmont acquired the Galleria 200 building located in Atlanta, Georgia for $69.6 million.
