Subsequent Events	Subsequent Events Note Payable Secured by 4250 N. Fairfax Building Repaid On May 1, 2012, Piedmont repaid in full the balance outstanding on the $45.0 Million Fixed-Rate Loan secured by the 4250 N. Fairfax building in advance of its scheduled maturity. Second Quarter Dividend Declaration On May 2, 2012, the board of directors of Piedmont declared dividends for the second quarter of 2012 in the amount of $0.20 per common share outstanding to stockholders of record as of the close of business on June 1, 2012. Such dividends are to be paid on June 22, 2012.
