PriceSmart Announces February Sales

San Diego, California (March 7, 2008) – PriceSmart, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSMT) today announced for the month of February 2008, net sales increased 30.0% to $82.3 million from $63.3 million in February a year earlier. February 2008 contained 29 days compared to 28 days in February 2007. For the six months ended February 29, 2008, net sales increased 25.6% to $533.4 million from $424.8 million in the same period last year. There were 25 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of February 2008 compared to 23 warehouse clubs in operation in February 2007.

For the five weeks ended March 2, 2008, comparable warehouse sales for warehouse clubs open at least 12 full months increased 19.2% compared to the same five-week period last year. For the twenty-six week period ended March 2, 2008, comparable warehouse sales increased 21.0% compared to the comparable twenty-six week period a year ago.
