Copel Mercado Livre Purchases 162 MWm in Incentive Energy
Companhia Paranaense de Energia – COPEL, a company that generates, transmits, distributes and sells power, with shares listed on B3 (CPLE3, CPLE5, CPLE6), NYSE (ELPVY, ELP) and LATIBEX (XCOP), hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, Copel Comercialização S.A. (“Copel Mercado Livre”), in the Solar and Wind Incentive Energy Purchase Auction (Public Call Notice 01/2020 - 2nd stage), held on this date, purchased 162 average MW for a period of 13 years, with supply to begin in January 2023. The winning projects of this Public Call total 595 MW of installed capacity, being 184 MW of wind energy and 411 MW of solar energy. With this contract, the Company expands the portfolio of products offered to its customers, in addition to boosting the generation of energy from renewable sources.
