Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

PMA Capital Corporation (the “Company”) announced today that the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, PMA Capital Insurance Company, has recently executed commutation agreements with several separate ceding groups. These commutations will reduce the loss and Loss Adjustment Expenses (“LAE”) reserves at the Company’s Run-off Operations by approximately $80 million, or 10% of the Run-off Operations’ Loss and LAE reserves at September 30, 2005. The Company is continuing its efforts to negotiate commutation agreements with other groups that ceded reinsurance to the Company’s Run-off Operations.
