MATERIAL FACT

Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição (“GPA” or “Company”), pursuant to Law No. 6,404/76, as in force, and the Resolution No. 44/21 of CVM, informs its shareholders and the market in general, that the Company´s Board of Directors decided, based on the recommendation of the Management, People and Sustainability Committee, for the election of Mr. Ronaldo Iabrudi dos Santos Pereira, current Company’s Board of Directors member, as Vice-Chairman of the Company.

According to the Company´s Chairman, Mr. Renan Bergmann:

“Continuing improvements to GPA´s New Management of GPA, we elected Mr. Ronaldo Iabrudi as Vice-President of the Board of Directors. In addition to being a Member of the Board of Directors and Former CEO of the Company, he is a relevant shareholder, with in-depth knowledge of the company and a long-term strategic foresight and will support the strategy and alignment between Management and shareholders in general.”
