Item 1.04 Mine Safety — Reporting of Shutdowns and Patterns of Violations.

 

On November 10, 2014, Mountain Coal Company, L.L.C., a subsidiary of Arch Coal, Inc., received an imminent danger order under section 107(a) of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 at the West Elk mine located in Gunnison County, Colorado.  Two individuals were riding on a moving trailer.  The two individuals were removed and the problem was corrected.
