BUSINESS SEGMENT INFORMATION
 
The Company markets its products and services worldwide, primarily to companies in the manufacturing industry, including automotive, consumer products, food and beverage, high technology, industrial products and life sciences industries. The Company sells and licenses its products through its direct sales force in
four
geographic regions: North America; Europe, the Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”); Asia Pacific; and Latin America and through distributors where
third
parties can extend sales reach more effectively or efficiently. The North America region includes the United States and Canada. The EMEA region includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Asia Pacific region includes Asia and Australia. The Latin America region includes South America, Central America and Mexico. The Company’s Chief Operating Decision Maker, the Chief Executive Officer, reviews the consolidated results within
one
operating segment.
 
Subscription, license and maintenance revenues are allocated to the region where the end user is located. Services revenue is assigned based on the region where the services are performed.
 
Capital expenditures and property and equipment, net are assigned by geographic region based on the location of each legal entity.
