MERCHANDISE INVENTORIES	MERCHANDISE INVENTORIES At both January 23, 2021 and July 25, 2020, approximately 63% of merchandise inventories are valued by the LIFO method while the balance is valued by FIFO. If the FIFO method had been used for the entire inventory, inventories would have been $15,101 higher than reported at both January 23, 2021 and July 25, 2020.
