MERCHANDISE INVENTORIES	MERCHANDISE INVENTORIES At both October 24, 2015 and July 25, 2015, approximately 65% of merchandise inventories are valued by the LIFO method while the balance is valued by FIFO. If the FIFO method had been used for the entire inventory, inventories would have been $14,793 and $14,693 higher than reported at October 24, 2015 and July 25, 2015, respectively.
