Subsequent Events	Subsequent Events Late Filings On October 21, 2014, we filed our Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31, 2014 with the SEC. On November 7, 2014, we filed our Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2014 with the SEC. On November 7, 2014, we filed a Notification of Late Filing on Form 12b-25 with the SEC disclosing that we would be unable to timely file our Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended September 30, 2014 with the SEC. Rating Agency Actions On October 1, 2014, A.M. Best affirmed its financial strength ratings of B (Fair) and issuer credit ratings of “bb+” for Phoenix Life and PHL Variable. They also affirmed the issuer credit ratings and senior debt ratings of “b” of Phoenix. The financial strength ratings continue to have a stable outlook and the issuer credit ratings retain a negative outlook.
