FIRST QUARTER RELEASE DATE

TORONTO, April 5, 2005 - Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Inc. (“FHR”) (TSX/NYSE: FHR) will release its first quarter 2005 earnings before the market opens on Tuesday, May 3, 2005, to be followed by a conference call at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
