GOODWILL

Goodwill represents the premium paid over the fair value of the net tangible and intangible assets that are individually identified and separately recognized in business combinations. All of our goodwill as of June 30, 2016 and March 31, 2016 is related to our technology segment.

We test goodwill for impairment on an annual basis, as of the first day of our third fiscal quarter, and between annual tests if an event occurs, or circumstances change, that would more likely than not reduce the fair value of a reporting unit below its carrying amount.

Goodwill decreased by $0.1 million during the three months ended June 30, 2016, due to foreign currency translation.

OTHER INTANGIBLE ASSETS

Customer relationships and capitalized software development costs are amortized over an estimated useful life, which is generally between 3 to 7 years. Trade names and trademarks are amortized over an estimated useful life of 10 years.

Total amortization expense for other intangible assets was $1.2 million and $0.7 million for the three months ended June 30, 2016 and 2015, respectively.
