The components of net periodic benefit cost other than the service cost component are included in other noninterest expense in the consolidated statements of income.

The Corporation previously disclosed in its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2020 that it expected to make contributions of $156 thousand to its non-qualified retirement plans and $94 thousand to its other postretirement benefit plans in 2021. During the six months ended June 30, 2021, the Corporation contributed $78 thousand to its non-qualified retirement plans and $55 thousand to its other postretirement plans. During the six months ended June 30, 2021, $1.3 million was paid to participants from the retirement plans and $55 thousand was paid to participants from the other postretirement plans.
