ITEM 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On August 7, 2006, MarkWest Hydrocarbon, Inc. (the “Company”) announced its consolidated financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2006.  A copy of the Company’s earnings release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

On August 9, 2006, MarkWest Hydrocarbon, Inc. will hold a conference call to discuss its second quarter 2006 financial results and other corporate developments.
