Basis of Presentation [Abstract]
Principles of Consolidation The unaudited consolidated financial statements include the accounts of Norwood Financial Corp (the “Company”) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Wayne Bank (the “Bank”) and the Bank’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, WCB Realty Corp., Norwood Investment Corp., and WTRO Properties, Inc. All significant intercompany accounts and transactions have been eliminated in consolidation.
Basis of Presentation The accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements have been prepared in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles for interim financial statements and with instructions to Form 10-Q. Accordingly, they do not include all of the information and footnotes required by generally accepted accounting principles for complete financial statements. In preparing the financial statements, management is required to make estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities as of the date of the balance sheet and revenues and expenses for the period. Actual results could differ from those estimates. The financial statements reflect, in the opinion of management, all normal, recurring adjustments necessary to present fairly the consolidated financial position and results of operations of the Company. The operating results for the three-month and nine-month periods ended September 30, 2024 are not necessarily indicative of the results that may be expected for the year ending December 31, 2024 or any other future interim period.
