Regulation FD Disclosure

On August 1, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan (July 31, 2013 in San Francisco, CA), Medivation, Inc.’s alliance partner, Astellas Pharma Inc., reported its financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2013. Astellas reported, among other things, that net quarterly sales of XTANDI^® (enzalutamide) capsules were approximately $82 million in the U.S. and approximately €2 million in Europe.

Medivation is providing this information, which is taken directly from Astellas’ public announcement, solely for the purpose of providing all of Medivation’s investors with equal access to this third-party information. Medivation plans to report its own financial results for the second quarter of 2013 on August 8, 2013.
