Restructuring	12. RESTRUCTURING In response to the negative CONNECTION trial data, the Company implemented a restructuring in March 2010 in which it eliminated 23 full-time positions and vacated approximately 3,700 square feet of office space. Terminated individuals were eligible for a package consisting of a severance payment, continuing medical coverage and outplacement services. The Company recorded restructuring charges totaling $0.9 million during the first quarter of 2010, of which $0.4 million was classified as selling, general and administrative expense and $0.5 million was classified as research and development expense. No amounts related to the restructuring were recorded in 2011.
