Item 8.01. Other Events.

On October 27, 2008, Medivation, Inc. received the upfront payment of $225 million from Pfizer Inc. (“Pfizer”) pursuant to the terms of the Collaboration Agreement it entered into with Pfizer on August 29, 2008.
