NATURE OF OPERATIONS	NATURE OF OPERATIONS Knoll, Inc. and its subsidiaries (the "Company" or "Knoll") are engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of furniture products and accessories, modern outdoor furniture, as well as the sale of fine leather, textiles, and felt, focusing on the middle to high-end segments of the market. The Company has primary operations in the United States ("U.S."), Canada, and Europe and sells its products primarily through its direct sales representatives and independent dealers.
