Item 8.01 Other Events.

On July 24, 2006 TLC Vision Corporation issued a press release announcing it will release 2nd quarter 2006 financial results after the market closes on Wednesday, August 9, 2006. A conference call will be held to discuss these financial results on August 9th at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The call will be broadcast live on www.tlcv.com. Further details are included in the complete press release which is attached hereto as exhibit 99.1.

Results August 9 — Conference Call to Follow

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, July 24, 2006: — TLC Vision Corporation (TSX:TLC) (NASDAQ:TLCV), North America’s premier eye care services company, will release its 2nd quarter 2006 financial results after the market closes on Wednesday, August 9, 2006.
